Why are you here?

You may be wondering why in the world are you here, on my page. Perhaps you were redirected here by my Facebook or Twitter accounts. Google Search may also be the one who has brought you here! So.. You're gonna ask me. Why am I here and what is this blog all about?

In a nutshell is basically a blog that tries to chronicle the various travel and food experiences of the blogger.

This blog features different travel destinations in the Philippines (and hopefully, the rest of the world!) and various food places and restaurants worthy of your visit. It can cover places that are of international fame or places that are yet to be discovered and recognized by the public.

Who is Bong Arquiza?

Bong Arquiza is a native of Zamboanga City, a highly urbanized city in the Island of Mindanao, and is currently based in Quezon City. He is born to a typical Filipino-Spanish family. He finished primary and secondary education at the Western Mindanao State University Integrated School (2003 & 2007). He then went to the University of the Philippines in Diliman to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration (2011).

Strictly speaking, Bong is a superhero in the inside and a public servant on the outside. He worked for various government agencies of the Philippines such as the Department of Budget and Management and the Department of Agriculture in various capacities. Bong also squeezed all his creative juices while he tried to address the social issues of the Filipino people. He worked at the Philippine House of Representatives as a policy and legislative officer of an actor-turned-politician.

Bong is also a development worker. Having worked with various non-government organizations, he tries to unite his love for service and his passion for traveling. He served as communications and advocacy officer of a European international humanitarian organization.

Bong is also a frustrated creative writer and chef. Now, you may get the idea as to why he's created this blog - partly to help you decide on your next travel and food trip destination and partly to fulfill and feed his frustrations.
